It's been a journey that I am ready to end.... being out of shape and over weight!
I've been struggling for quite some time to make time to work out and time for myself. Yes, Yes... I know I had all the time in the world when I was in Hawaii... but when my husband was home I wasn't motivated. Even though he is home now, I am motivated more than ever to lose this weight!!
Each day I will try to post what I've done the previous day to help keep you all motivated. Holding each other accountable is also going to help us all in reaching our goals. With that being said... Here is where I am at as of Monday May 17, 2010.
I am taking Jillian Michaels Fat Burner because I purchased it awhile ago, and I hated to see it go to waste. I bought it at GNC, not knowing they were TWICE the cost than at Target. I also have bought some WHEY Protein powder that I am using as meal replacements, adding fruit, water, 2% milk, and ice to. Last night I tried it with banana, and I did NOT like it, but still drank it. I also ate some California rolls... 6 to be exact. Depending on your caloric intake they can be a perfect snack if used in conjunction with your recovery drink. I would really like to SHAKE it up with SHAKEOLOGY, but for now this will have to do.
I also am incorporating P90x workouts into my daily routine. I can't do all of them because my arm still is not healed all the way from last summer, so no push ups for me. I also am walking.
This is what I did yesterday... I was up and out the door at 6:20. I went for my walk, in the rain, which I am guessing is about 2 miles, maybe more/ maybe less. I haven't driven it yet. However, it feels right around that mileage. After my walk I put in the AB RIPPER CD from P90X, and did that. (It felt incredible and I can actually feel those muscles that are hiding!!) After I got off work and cooked the boys dinner, I did the LEGS AND BACK CD....(I feel those butt muscles today!!)
Today I went for my walk, then did the CHEST SHOULDERS AND TRICEPS CD. I did NOT do the push ups on the ground, which is the main course of that CD, but I did use weights, incorporating other moves that could still be beneficial... ALSO PEOPLE... I use the wall doing standing push ups since my arm has really been bothering me. And then I did AB RIPPER X. ( Tony says you don't need to do it everyday, but Im gunna venture out and say I know some who use it everyday and they look great. )
(It is so embarrasing to post this, mind you, because I haven't been this heavy EVER without being pregnant.)

Well... There you have it. I am going to do a photo in a bikini that I would really like to see myself in sometime this summer, just to give you an idea of where I am, and to see the progress on July 18th. the importance of that date is just a friendly bet, and will NOT end my body transformation.
Thank you all for being supportive and encouraging. Feel free to post comments and be supportive who are also trying to shed those comfort pounds. The more supportive we are to each other, the easier it is to feel motivated.
Have a great day you guys!!

Wow, posting your weight and your measurements! That's bravery! Keep it up, you can do anything you set your mind to!
I messed up and am trying to fix it. UGH! Anyway, I, too am not proud of my weight at this time of my life. I have struggled with so many things leading to my weight problem for the last few years. I weigh 186.4 lbs right now and am only 5'6". I weigh more now than I did when I delivered my last child 10 years ago. Prior to that, I was 45 lbs lighter than that. I had worked hard at Weight Watchers and lost 26 lbs. I have tried many things since then, including going back to WW, but I don't have the passion for it. Is it because I was not ready for weight loss, or that I need something else to motivate me now. I am looking for a weight loss enhancer that does not cause possible heart palpatations, as I already have that problem now. I, also, need good ideas for meals. I am going to the gym tonight. I took a couple of weeks off. I had been going and lost 5 lbs. I know I cannot be disciplined enough for an intense program like P90X. I will not stay true to it. I am going to invest in a Wii and Wii fit. I feel this is something I can do and WILL do. Any ideas for weight loss supplement and easy meals, please post! I will post a pic (no swimsuit!) Thanks, Tera, for being an inspiration in many things in my life!
I love that you are blogging again. I am linking you on my blog, okay?
And listen. When I am needing to lose weight, sometimes I feel overwhelmed, but I tell myself, "today is the LAST day I will ever be this weight." Sort of comforts me to know that each day I am headed in the right direction.

Thanks for the inspiration, Tera! You have given me the push that I need. I just want to be healthy and strong again.
I am in the process of ordering either P90X or ChaLean Extreme. I am trying to decide which would be best considering that I am so overweight and out of shape. Any thoughts on which one I should go with?
Jeanie
Chalean Extreme is what I vote for!! Contact Shannon Mathew before you order. She has some great personal knowledge on all programs, including Brazil Butt Lift. Those two programs I do want and maybe the end of the summer I will be able to get them.
P90X is definitely intense, but like I posted, I am doing a variated schedule, so we will see how it goes.
Thank you guys for helping me be so motivated!!
I am so proud of you! What is most important is you feeling good about yourself. I spend most my time yo...yoing but hearing stories like yours definately kicks me into gear! Stay strong and good luck! I can't wait to see you in that bikini ;-)

Wow! You are brave Tera!
I have started the Flat Belly Diet which is similar to WW (I did after Aidan was born and I actually lost almost 60 lbs). I also am exercising everyday, mixing it up between walking, swimming, biking and cardio at the gym. I am currently at 158 with my goal weight at 145--which is where I was last summer :( My bikini days were over the minute I became a mother (stretch marks) but would love to feel comfortable in my own clothes!
HOW DOES IT COME ON SO QUICKLY?!?!?!
This is a great idea!
Thanks for the support

Laurie,
I still want to know what the flat belly diet is. I am going to be there this next week, maybe you can tell me about it?
OK, Tera. I contacted Tim and Shannon. I just ordered ChaLean Extreme. It should be here in a few days. Keep up the great work!
