the past few weeks

they have been stressful in our home.

the past few weeks.

we've been renting since we moved to Virginia in 2010. our primary reason for moving across the water from J's work was so that T would be able to go to school and play ball in a great school district. the ability to play ball was important to me. to him.

around october, T decided that he wanted to pursue golf, again. (we've had him on the course, putting, since he was big enough to hold a little golf club. that was before he was one. he stopped playing when we moved to HI.)

this news is EXCITING.

which brings me to why it has been such a stressful couple of weeks.

i've anguished over whether or not to move the kids out of a school district where T isn't pursuing the reason why we moved here in the first place.

it is HIGHLY overpriced.

and.

frankly, i really haven't seen eye to eye with the elementary school.

i've researched.

and researched.

and.

researched.

every school district and zone this side of the HRBT and across the way.

you win some.

you lose some.

deciding on where to buy a house is such a huge decision.

especially when you have children to think about.

so the news is...

we've found a house we are wanting to put an offer on.

and for now... i can stop stressing.

oh how i want to show you some photos.

however, it isn't ours. yet.

so instead i will leave you with one of E.
i'm going to miss her sassiness.

be blessed,

t

it's contagious

even with a good night's sleep, his mornings usually start out with something similiar to this...

continuing with this...
and ending like this...

he knows he will have made me yawn, too.

did you?

there are wild beasts, even in the morning

not-a-one came back into the house.

they were all bundled up nice and cozy.

one may have been ready to get up before the others.
this one looks like he could still get his sleep on.
because the wild beast seems to be still lurking around.
do you suppose he will be ready for what is to come?

they were sleeping on a TRAMPOLINE after all.

sleep overs

i grew up with winter's weather being 70 degrees one day, and accumulating 5ft of snow within the next.

if we were lucky the wind chill didn't make it down to -40 below.

remember how we used to walk building to building at SHS during those blustery days?

last year, here, we had at least 2 snowfalls that accumulated up to 1.5 feet, each snowfall, by Christmas.

i never would have thought that yesterday's sleep over would take place where these wild beasts wanted to sleep.

on. the. trampoline.

the weather was beautiful.

probably won't be a nicer night the rest of the winter.

it's amazing what you can see in the night time sky.

it was Airforce One, passing by.

their tough exterior say that they were committed to sleeping out there all night.

we'll see!

happy Sunday, my friends!

be blessed

if you can't pick it yourself......

you probably know that i miss hawaii.

and if you don't, you don't read nearly enough.

i do.

immensely.

last weekend i picked up something that reminded me of driving up to the north shore.

there is nothing like the smell of fresh pineapple.

cutting them can be a little tricky.

you have to make sure you cut the core out. it's rather tough.

but when all is said and done, you have a delicious little snack.

i needed this today.

be blessed,

house hunting

we've decide to take the plunge....

and buy a home!

unfortunately, because we want to stay in the same school district, it means nearly cutting off our limbs to make that happen.

so while i wade through the few houses that are listed, and which are mostly out of our reach, i look to see how i can make the house my home.

and you know where i found it, right?

you can find it here

i fear my kitchen will never be this big, but a girl can dream, can't she?

and so on with my day i will go... hunting for the perfect dwelling we can call home.

be blessed
